Here's some trivia for the next cocktail party:
In 2001, the top four Google searches were:
1. Sex
2. God
3. Jobs
4. Professional Wrestling (this is true, the source: The World is Flat, page 177)
A bit of deduction and I boiled this down to four natural human interests, probably in this order:
1. finding comfort in another (or using porn to find it within yourself),
2. finding comfort within yourself (through a higher being, besides porn),
3. finding a means of sustanence so you can continue 1 and 2,
4. beating the crap out of someone else (misplaced aggression) when 1, 2 and 3 fail.
Here's a question: At what rate is Internet access expanding? For example, on a global scale, how many people per minute gain access to the Internet?
A quote: 'A rising tide lifts all boats.' (-Tim Bray, director of Web Technology for Sun Microsystems) Sure, the world is cyclical - but the tide is out pretty far. This can only mean one thing...
