Marc, Eleanor, Fred and Koko

Is it just me or does toothpaste never seem to run out? I always seem to be able to squeeze out more than I need. On the other side, there never seems to be enough good mustard in the fridge. Come to think about it there always seem to be several empty condiment containers in the fridge and half full toothpaste tubes in the bathroom. oohhhh. don't you hate it right after it rains when the steam from the ground makes your legs all gooey. Ahh, we finally got rain the other day. I had to vent.

Wanted to drop a line about the two people helpin out with the book. A friend of mine Marc Noreikas is helping out with the cover. His website is damonmarc.com. Pretty cool stuff. He designed and created it himself. I found Eleanor Roberts on craiglist to edit. She does a bit of journalism, screenwriting and editing right now but she hopes to freelance fulltime as an editor/writer sometime soon.

Mr Rogers was definately a childhood hero of mine. Now that I think about it, he might have been one of the most honorable influences I've ever had. He epitomized genuine character. Even the bad people respected him. A thief stole his car one time and actually returned it later when they found out it was his. An apology was tucked in the windshield wiper. It read, 'if we’d known it was yours, we never would have taken it.'

Hey Brian, thanks for the comment. Regarding the emails, I am currently searching for a way to do that and I hope to have an answer soon (as in by Sunday) as to if you can do it with blogger ( I think you can, I just have to figure it out). As for adsense... not really. I've made more money by doing a few paid posts that mostly fit into my blog.

Brian!

It's me... Casey from Peace Corps Cape Verde. Glad you like the blog. You asked about internet connections. At home, I have dial up. That's standard and affordable. At schools, internet cafes, etc, they have something like DSL, so it's faster. Nothing is extremely fast. But, if you plan to have internet at home, you'll have dial up. Also, depending on the island, you will have better or worse (or no) internet access. Look forward to meeting you. Happy travels.

Hey Brian! I met you through Barry when you were in DC back in January (?) In fact, I kept you out pretty late when you probably should’ve been resting up for editing the next day (sorry about that…) It occurred to me the other day that your film might be posted by now and, after taking a few days to remember what it was called (I knew it was banana-something, and bananataco didn’t sound quite right), I found it on Google and watched the whole damn thing. Wanted to let you know that I thought it was really charming and entertaining (I was hesitant to commit a whole hour at first, but it was worth it!). Anyways, good to hear you’re doing the Peace Corps thing--you’ll be great. Keep us updated! --Emily
