Who is a customer?

Who is a customer? The customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption of our work. He is the purpose of of it. He is not an outsider in our business, he is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.

-Mahatma Gandhi, from The Economist, p13, Feb 16th special report on technology and government

ahhh...capitalism and exploitation. Gandhi had it right- We're all looking for the next way to be exploited. There would be no point in existence if we could not be exploited; for work, for art, for creativity, for lust- the list goes on. You're doing good things my friend. Keep it up. You inspire me.
